All research topics covered by this ITN have the common aim of providing a deeper understanding on the fundamental physicochemical processes involved and in the development of novel materials and concepts leading to the feasible implementation of coupled plasma-catalytic technologies and contributing to a quantum leap advancement in the chemical valorization of CO2 .
In this interdisciplinary field it is inevitable to create a real research network of experts and young leaders. In the center of the ITN the 15 Early Stage Researchers ( ESRs ) will be formed into a new generation of research leaders who will position Europe as a world leader in CO2 utilization
Because of the strongly multidisciplinary character of PIONEER, each ESR has a main and a co-Supervisor with complementary expertise in plasma physics, catalysis or chemical engineering
The Coordination Team is responsible for coordinating the whole project and allows the ESRs to fully focus on the research and training.
