Ana Sobota is Assistant Professor at the department of Applied Physics at TU/e. She received her Diploma (2006) and her PhD (2011) in Physics. She has obtained a personal grant from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris in 2012, which she used to fund her postdoctoral research in the fundamentals of atmospheric pressure non-thermal plasmas. She is currently in charge of research in the same field and a lecturer at TU/e. Her research interests include cold atmospheric pressure plasmas such as plasma jets, dielectric barrier discharges (DBDs) and surface DBDs from both fundamental aspect and applications. She has obtained her Basis Kwalificatie Onderwijs (BKO) certificate for higher education in 2015.
